#IndiavsSrilanka. A three match T20I series between India and Srilanka in February 2016.

The Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium in Pune will play host to the first of the three-match Twenty20 International series between India and Sri Lanka on February 9, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) confirmed on Wednesday (December 20). The two countries agreed to play a short T20 series as preparation for the T20 WC 2016, to be played in India in March-April.

The series offers Sri Lanka and India, finalists of the 2014 edition of the T20 WC, an ideal platform to regroup ahead of a hectic season of limited-overs cricket. The two teams have endured a wretched run of form that has seen them drop series in New Zealand and Australia respectively in rather emphatic fashion.

The game in Pune will be followed by T20Is in Delhi (February 12) and Visakhapatnam (February 14) before the teams fly out to Bangladesh for the Asia Cup, also scheduled to be played in the T20 format for the first time.
