A family in Mumbai is homeless thanks to people who thought it is fun to burst crackers in a residential area. And those who are responsible for this may be aren’t aware of the damage they have done. It is a request to everyone, if you cannot control your urge to burst crackers, at-least be careful and sensitive.
Gas stoves plane crashes and cars kill thousands and cause hell lot of pollution . The idea is not about banning but trying to find a safer and cleaner way to celebrate . Bursting crackers like in Chinese New Year has a purpose and meaning. In florence,Italy at the time of renaissance , people had wood stoves in there homes, which more than often caused, FIRE in the Home. after repeated instance, europeans understood that, if each of the home owner pools in money each year and in case there's fire, the money can be used to recover the damages done to a single home. and that's where concept of insurance started for europeans.
fast forward couple of centuries, insurance companies brought in regulations and standard, like the distance between houses, place of fire and type of insulation etc. so that in the worst case scenario , if theres fire, damage is minimised.
But Indians Don't care about lack of standards/regulations and getting insured, they just want to post a status about how crackers should be banned P.S - I believe crackers should be absolutely banned but the push should be from enterprise not from households and hence push should be for capitalism.
