26th january,a historic day for both the countries India as well as Australia.#HappyRepublicDay ,#AustraliaDay.On this day the first T20I in Adelaide made all the cricket fans go crazy.
Todays Match Highlights about Virat kohli who is the Saviour of Indian Team,Also about Jasprit Bumrah who has impressed with ball.
It was very special match to all the Indians because there were 3 Debutants in the game Hardik pandya, jasprit Bumrah from India and Travis Head from Australia. Also yuvi's re-entry into the Indian team made all the cricket fans this match a very special ones. Rohit's attack, kohli's unbeaten 90* and MSD's finishing are the highlights in the India innings.Surprisingly the debutants of Indian team Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah performed excellent in Australia innings. Kohli is the MOM of the first T20I. India won by 37 runs leading 3-match series 1-0.
Virat the Saviour for India:
Australia had won the toss and opted to field first and match started with a carnival atmosphere at the picturesque stadium in adelaide. Rohith Sharma started innings with a fierce full attack with 10 runs in the very first over and continued his legacy till 4th over. Shane watson dismissed Rohith sharma in his first delivery. Virat Kohli the saviour came to bat on the dismissal of Rohit . In the same over Dhawan has to go back. later Virat Kohlli developed a good partnership with Suresh raina untill last over.in the 20th over Suresh raina dismissed and every one was eagerly expecting yuvraj singh to come for batting but surprisingly captain cool MSD entered the ground and showed his previous glory with a an attacking performance(11(3) ,6's*1,4's*1,SR366.67 ) and finished India innings which made all the Indian fans go crazy.
Virat Kohli's [90(55),6's*9,4's*2,SR163.63 ] and Rohit Sharma's [31(20),6*4's,1*6's,SR155],Raina's completion of 1000 runs in t20I are the highlights of first innings.India put a target of 189 in front of Australia.
Jasprit Bumrah Impresses Again:
In the second Innings Indian bowlers attracted with their performance especially Jasprit Bumrah with 3 wickets in his first debut match also other spinners ashwin and jadeja also performed well with each 2 wickets.however hardik pandya's economy is high he took two major wickets in the much needed time. Nehra took one wicket. Kohli and yuvraj performed well on field.
In the post match presentation :
Dhoni: 'I thought the bowling was good. Nehra was excellent coming back, the only way to win against Australia is by taking wickets, I think the bowlers did well in that regard. Rohit gave us a great start, Kohli and Raina batted beautifully. It was tough on Raina and Yuvraj, they had just one session of practice, that's why I promoted myself ahead of Yuvraj. There was pressure on Pandya, it was his first over and that got to him. He did well coming back later on, got his yorkers and wide deliveries right. If he does well, it will be a huge plus for us - he gives us plenty of depth as an all-rounder.'
Finch: 'We let ourselves down in the field, an unbelievable innings from Kohli. We were surprised with the amount of spin, but we had eight batsmen plus Faulkner, at the end of the day, we had the batsmen to chase it down. I thought we bowled well, might have conceded 10-15 runs too many. 170 would have been a slightly easier chase, the ball stopped a bit under lights and one or two batsmen failed to adapt to the surface.'
Kohli: 'I really like playing here, would like to take the pitch to everywhere I go. Our T20 World Cup preparation starts from here, we will go on from this game. It was a good batting strip, the ball came nicely onto the bat, I could play my shots. The crowd have been brilliant as well, they have supported us very well right throughout the tour.'
Kohli is the MoM for his 90*
Back-to-back wins for India, although in different formats of the game. A superb Republic Day for India in Adelaide, first, the ladies chased down their highest ever T20I score to stun Australia. Then, the men followed, putting up a spirited effort to upstage Australia by 37 runs. The hosts were off to a flier, Warner and Finch meant business, right from the first ball. They were helped along by some ordinary bowling by Ashwin. Bumrah came in and provided the visitors with some relief, Warner fell for 17. Steve Smith and Finch looked in cruise control, until the former was sent back by Jadeja. It was followed by a dramatic collapse. 4 wickets went down in quick succession. The late order had too much to do and ended up throwing their wickets in the process.
Eye On Sydney Now:
Both teams had new players flying in, both had debutants and on a day of celebration for both countries, it's India who have had the last laugh. Can they seal the series at the MCG on Friday and go home with something to show for their efforts or will Australia bounce back to take it to the decider at the SCG? It should be another cracking contest have to wait n see
