Rahul Thakkar Is Winning An Oscar This Year for his contribution to cinema



Rahul Thakkar was born on July 7,1984 in Des Plaines, Illinois, USA. He is an actorand producer , known for Parvat’s Golden Skin(2010), The Lake House(2006) and The Break-Up(2006).   
                         
Like every year, the world is excitedly awaiting the Oscar Awards this year. But before the Academy Awards are announced on February 28, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will present 10 scientific and technical achievements during its annual Scientific and Technical Awards Presentation on February 13. 



These awards will specially interest Indian audiences this year because one of the awardees is of Indian origin. , Rahul Thakkar will be presented with the Technical Achievement Award for his contribution to cinema through "groundbreaking design", as announced on the official Oscar Awards website. 



As per reports Rahul Thakkar will be awarded Oscar during annual scientific and Technical Awards presentation on February 13th .Apart from Rahul none other people will receive this technical achievement awards. Rahil along with Richard Thong will receive this award and the news announced on the official Oscar Awards website.


Rahul, along with Richard Chuang, have been chosen for their groundbreaking design, along with Andrew Pilgrim, Stewart Birnam and Mark Kirk for the review workflows and advanced playback features, all of who work for the DreamWorks Animation Media Review System.




 The list of awardees was announced on the official Oscar Awards website, and they will be felicitated during its annual Scientific and Technical Awards Presentation scheduled for February 13. Over its nearly two decades of development, this pioneering system enabled desktop and digital theater review. It continues to provide artist-driven, integrated, consistent and highly scalable studio-wide playback and interactive reviews.



Rahul Chandrakant Thakkar is majorly known for his work on films like The Legend of Bagger Vance (2000) and Forces of Nature (1999). He was in the Animation Software Development team of Shrek (2001), which won the first ever Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, thus establishing DreamWorks Animation as a prime competitor to Pixar in feature film animation, particularly in computer animation. Rahul's other projects are The Peacemaker (1997), Antz (1998) and A Simple Wish (1997). His win is worth mentioning and reminds us that technological innovation is a major part of animated film-making. Kudos!
