Boy commits suicide as University fails him and Re-Evaluation Results reveal! that He Topped his class!!!!
It is such a regretful situation where a boy commits sucide as he is been faile in his "PHYSICS" exam.Mohhamad Adnan Hilal, a 17 year ols Electronics student commited suicide after being declared "failed" in "physics", the subject where his friends and family claim a mastery over.
Four months later when the paper was given for Re-Evaluation, it was found that he not only passed the subject, but he was the topper of his class.
Mohammad, a first year student at Government Polytechnic college in Srinagae jumped into river jhelum committed suicide in June.
As per the initial results he scored 28 marks in physics. After the re-evaluation results he hsecured 48 marks in subject "Physics". With this he scored about 70% aggregate in the first semister and became the topper of the class. There's no use now as he is not alive, all of them are crying in misery which let them their friend off. In Jammu and Kashmir, 33/100 is the minimum marks required to pass an examination.
This incident came in as a rude shock to Mohammad's parents as their son had answered all the questions in the Physics paper with ease. Hilal Ahmad Gilkar, Mohammad's father recalls his son telling him he was confident that he had done well in the paper.
Mohammad's Father Review:
Adnan’s father, Hilal Ahmad Gilkar says his son’s death was not a suicide but a “murder” as he was forced to take the extreme step by the callousness of some people in the system.
“It is a murder and people responsible for it need to be identified and acted against as per the service rules of the government,” said Gilkar as tears rolled down his eyes.
After the death of his son, Gilkar applied for a re-evaluation of his son's Physics paper in which he was declared pass this time around. It took the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of Technical Education (JKSBOTE) four long months to realise Mohammad's correct score. Although admitting to their mistake, the authorities casually dismissed this occurrence by stating that such incidents happen in other universities as well.
